Sony Middle East Officially Launches the A7R IV Full-Frame Mirrorless Camera in UAE

At an event in Garage Studio, Al Quoz, Dubai, Sony Middle East and Africa has officially launched the latest addition to its popular full-frame mirrorless camera line-up called the Sony Alpha 7R IV. The camera is Sony’s highest resolution full-frame camera that promises stunning and sharp image quality with wide dynamic range while along with outstanding autofocusing performance, high-speed continuous burst shooting and more.

“We are continuing to drive innovation, break boundaries and redefine the expectations of digital camera performance,” said Murat Gebeceli, the Head of Digital Imaging, Sony Middle East & Africa. “The new Alpha 7R IV combines medium format level image quality with high-speed shooting, extremely fast focusing and a long list of upgrades to design, connectivity and usability. This will allow professional photographers, videographers and all other types of creators in the Middle East to capture content in ways that were simply not possible before.”

The new A7R IV features the world’s first 61MP full-frame image sensor and the back-illuminated structure helps to reduce image noise. The camera also features an impressive 15-stop dynamic range for low sensitivities and updated color reproduction for the best of image quality.

The new shooter offers 5-axis in-body image stabilization with 5.5-steps of shutter speed advantage. This will help to reduce the slightest movements that cause blurs. The camera also offers a UXGA OLED Tru-finder EVF that features 5.76 million dots. The EVF can be set to operate at 120 fps refresh rates. Sony has also upgraded the Pixel Shift Multi Shooting mode that combines up to 16 full-resolution images.

The Sony A7R IV also features 10 fps continuous shooting and is supported with 567 phase-detection AF points and 425 points of contrast detection. Sony has updated the AF algorithm that offers improved accuracy and detection. One of the best features of this camera is that users will be able to shoot at 26.2MP images on APS-C mode, the highest ever on any Sony full-frame camera. The camera also supports real-time Eye AF, thanks to artificial intelligence and is applicable for both animal and human subjects. For connectivity, the camera features support for 2.4 GHz and 5GHz wireless LAN and also brings support for PC remote connectivity. The A7R IV also comes with upgraded dust and moisture resistance. The camera can be used for 4K video recording with support of S-log 2 and S-log 3.

The Sony A7R IV will be available in the UAE soon for a price of 14,999 AED.
